ECE attended "Towards even more electrical aircraft" conference
Toulouse Conference 2009

ECE attended the conference organised by SEE, 3AF and Aerospace Valley: "Towards even more electrical aircraft", hosted in Toulouse, on the 28th and 29th of January 2009.

The conference was the opportunity for ECE to focus on electrical distribution issues. With its experience on the 3 commercial aircrafts using enlarged electrical architecture, ECE designs, develops and manufactures more and more complex electrical distribution systems to meet customer requirements. ECE helps its customers to realise their ambitious project by optimising electrical distribution issues.

Henri Billod, V.P. Engineering & Development, states that "electrical distribution design has to deal with new or more emphasised constraints due to:

  • High voltage AC and DC
  • More components and integration of new consumers
  • More loads and new sensitive loads
  • Use of new materials for airplane structure (CFRP)

ECE strengthens its worldwide leadership for electrical distribution for commercial and regional aircrafts, business jets and helicopters thanks to its technical ability to anticipate and match customer's needs"
